I am glad, I held no secrets from them
Telling them, I am a woman-I am Trans
Not quite understanding but loving me still
Asking me why and are you sure my dear
I told them yes in my mind and heart
This is what's right for I did start
I told them for my benefit, not theirs
Now mom is gone, she passed away
She flies up high but not far from us
Looking down so she can protect without a fuss
Others protect us from on the ground
Someone seams to be always around
Dad and I are lucky to have them around
As for me, I am closer to dad
I help keep him from getting sad
I love my family, they are so dear to me
Holding back some of what I had
Gender change, I was on my way
Stepping back from what I am
Almost woman and not a man
Love for my family is greater than myself
