...Gender Dysphoria is like nothing else. All of my thoughts at the time had to be withheld. I had to live a lie 24-7 all of my life. It’s kind of like being schizophrenic because you had to display a presentation to others, and bury your true feelings and thoughts. How unfair is that, For society to put this on us? Or did we do it to ourselves? Or perhaps a little of Both. We need to stick together and get more United Nationally. We need to educate the Public that we, as Transsexuals, are different then Cross Dressers, Drag Queens and People who alter their Bodies for sexual exploitation. While many communities seem to want to put us in a melting pot, our needs are all very uniquely different. On the other hand there is unity in numbers and sticking together allows for some stepping stones for some individuals to find a landing or a perch and grow from there. We were never failures in our originally born Gender either ! We are humans with real needs and real feelings. We will not dwell on the restrictions put on us by others in our time of existence. What we will do, is be grateful for any change that allows us more happiness. Freedom of expression becomes a precious thing after living a life time of phony expression (Living a Lie)! For some of us, Our lives have been full of fear and shame of who we are, but no more. All across the Globe people are coming out of the closet and freeing their Spirits. I am happy to be one of them. I recently stepped away from serving a local organization for three years as both President and Member . I enjoy helping from time to time on the Gala Esprit (An annual transgender convention) in Port Angeles, Washington. I enjoy life, and rejoice in the Bliss of my freedom to express, and share the love, that I have always been afraid to express to others, or suppressed from fear or shame!
